the yaz pill, reviews?!

hey girls. just started the pill Yaz and was wondering how you went on it?!  it was so damn expensive ($77 for 3 months ahh!!)  and I feel like I've just read bad reviews..  I'm super stressed about gaining weight and already struggle with mental health so really don't want that to decline either. I'm taking it for my skin btw. so leave your experiences down below, hopefully my nerves can be calmed!! ❤

i am only on month one of it but i have no gained any weight at all! it’s given me a bit of acne but i think its because it has dried up my face a lot but nothing insanely bad at all. it’s given me awful cramps this period but i think the higher my body goes in hormones the worse cramps i get because this is now my 4th birth control and the cramps have been getting worse. other than that it has been a pretty solid month for me but it really just depends on the person!

I went on it for my skin when I was 15, stopped taking it at 17. Went back on it within 2 years til I was 20. Stopped taking it for good after that.
The first time I went on it, it cleared up my skin beautifully, it looked like I never had acne. It also lightened my periods heaps and got rid of my cramps. However the second time it didn't work so well for my skin. But I experienced a range of less than pleasant side effects both times. I'll just list them:
- slight weight gain (only like 2-3kg though)
- reoccurring yeast infections 
- basically had no sex drive 
- nipple discharge (this one's a rare side effect though)
- feelings of detachment. I think it contributed to my depression at the time as well 
- calf muscle cramps. My doctor said this couldn't be from the pill but I only ever suffered this when I was taking Yaz 
- swollen lower leg/ankle. This is why I stopped taking it altogether as I was scared it was a sign of a blood clot 
The thing is everyone is different. You may experience none of these side effects. You won't know til you try it, I just know it's not the pill for me :)
