Question

How can I become a better house wife . Especially when it comes to doing the dishes and laundry I’m horrible at keeping them up . I’m 21 with my first on the way and feel as if I’m not ready to be a stay at home mom when it comes to housework . I feel like I’m going to fail.

Just get yourself in a routine. Have days in your week you know you will do your laundry clean etc.
*My routine is Monday Wednesday Friday laundry and cleaning this keeps it all from piling up and becoming miserable to do. 
*Tuesday and Thursday and weekend are days for me and family 
*Dishes I do everyday before starting supper and I plan suppers for efficiency with grocery’s and look at what I plan ahead for that night and see how long it takes to make it. I always start it at the time it will just be getting ready about the time my husband comes home. I have a 1 year old n I’m almost 9 weeks pregnant with our second.

Clean as you go and teach your partner the same, especially for dishes. You use it, load it in the dishwasher right away, making dinner make sure your cleaning as you go so once dinner is ready all that’s left is a pot or a pan. If my husband has dishes he’s loading them into the dishwasher right away. He never used to clean as he went especially with cooking but we started cooking together and he started to pick up on my habits. 
My laundry basket is at the top of the stairs near the machine so I have to walk past it several times a day, easier to remember to do it if your always seeing that there’s a load ready to go. Maybe put your basket in the hallway where you will walk by it everyday?

Keeping a home is the sort of thing that you learn as you go along! You also need to keep adapting as your family's needs change! I've been married 26 years and am still learning. I married at 21 and didn't know how to cook or organise my self at all really. Then just when I was almost keeping on top of it we had a house move and a new baby. However some badic things that help me are,  mesl planning,  keeping the dishes undet control. Having a laundry folding time each day with my youngest child. We listen to music or chat it's quite fun. I get up just before my husband and kids to do the ironing,  sometimes my husband comes down stairs too and we have a chance to chat before the house gets busy. But mostly he's getting up and having a prayer time. I have a quiet time for the kifs in the afternoon where they each go to a different space in the house and look at/read a book. I can sit down with a tea and read, pray and recharge.

Watch Marie Kondo on Netflix. It puts me in a cleaning mood and she has some pretty great tips in keeping a clean house. Some that should have been common sense but weren't to me for some reason. Haha. It gets so much harder after a baby. Mine is crawling now and is constantly getting into things so I have to just clean when she's asleep and just pick up here and there for a few minutes every now and then when she lets me.

You just have to get in a routine and stick with it. I allow my daughter to make a mess during the day because she is a child and she deserves to be happy in her own home but she willingly helps me clean up her toys and room before bed. After we clean her room we go downstairs and I allow her to watch some cartoons before bed, it relaxes her. While she watches cartoons I’ll load the dishwasher and vacuum the entire downstairs. I make sure to do the loud house work while she is awake.... after she is sound asleep I’ll take the garbage out, mop and let our dog out to potty. I’ll tidy up the downstairs, start a load of laundry and wipe down all countertops in the kitchen with a Lysol wipe. I then take a shower and get into bed and pay bills from my phone and do whatever else needs to be done and then my entire morning and mid day are free other than cooking or running errands. I deep clean my house when need be but doing this stuff on a daily basis keeps it feeling fresh and clean.
