Period is due tomorrow me and my husband have been trying for some months now ,I’m very nervous and don’t want to get my hopes up.!

If it’s been more than 3 to 5 minutes since you took the test I wouldn’t trust it. Usually the instructions tell you not to read the results after a certain time frame. You should wait one or two days before taking another test to see if the line gets darker and if it shows up right away
