So my hcg was 2 three week ago (considered negative for pregnancy) had my labs drawn yesterday and my hcg is 36,189. I’m so confused. Possible lab error I supposed on the first test. Any thoughts??? Thanks so much!

Had a negative blood HCG about 3 weeks ago. Took 7 days of 10mg provera and finished about 10 days ago. No signs of AF so I started to get frustrated, but also starting hoping, which usually ends in devastation. I took a test to bring me back down to reality (because I really thought there was no way). Obvously, I’m very wrong. Last period was 12/18/18 but I know for sure I was NOT pregnant about 3 weeks ago. Any chance the provera could be a problem for a viable pregnancy? I know they use it sometimes to help sustain a pregnancy, but different doses. Thanks for all thoughts and encouragement over this nearly 2 year journey.
