Please help mommas with experience of reflux

So I’ve been told my 6 weeks old has reflux he is forever vomiting and projectile vomiting his feeds up, I tried gaviscon which did work but he can only have it 6 times in24 hours so kind of pointless, then the doctor told me to try sma anti reflux formula which he seems to bring up easier then ordinary formula, I’m at my wits end as my baby vomits so much he chokes on it, I haven’t left the house since he was born as I’m so scared of him choking in the car seat while I’m driving. I keep him upright for an hour after every feed which is exhausting especially in the middle of the night but the minute I go to lay him down he vomits again. He is putting on weight so im not concerned there, I use the dr brown bottles, and he eats every 3-4 hours 5-6oz I’m just getting so frustrated of him been continually drenched in vomit. I’m to scared to lay him flat as he often chokes and goes rigid which scared the life of me. He is always grunting and tensing so loud sometimes I have to leave the room (he is still in site) as it is so loud I can’t believe that noise is coming out of my child. Please help I can’t stand to see him like this, my health visitor is useless and my doctor just reads from a text book so anyone with experience would be great
