But to paraphrase I guess: I believe it’s ALMOST completely a joke these days. Kids who need to have an investigation get nowhere, and kids who don’t need it and a simple phone call could probably clear it up the parents are fully investigated and treated like they’re guilty until proven innocent. Now I saw some comments on “better safe than sorry” and “if you’re a good mom you have nothing to worry about” but you’ll hear stories from everywhere about how that is NOT TRUE. Good moms and dads get their kids taken for no good reason, and terrible abusive neglectful parents keep their kids with not even a slap on the wrist. I’m thankful for the children saved by this public welfare service, but it’s a total mess in my opinion. Some places will investigate you for spanking your kids for instance( I am a no hitting household and I agree you shouldn’t hit your kids) , but the CPS lady who investigated me straight up told me she beat her kids butts when they behaved the way my daughter did😂🤷🏼‍♀️). So like, it’s a complete mess in my opinion. They over reach, or they completely miss the mark. Only a fraction of the time do they get it right. And don’t get me wrong, for that fraction of the time I am thankful, but for the rest of us and the rest of these kids it’s a complete joke. JMO.
