Baby or wedding first? Just got engaged, was already trying for a baby.. help!

Question

So my partner and I have been trying for a baby for a few months... but now he’s just popped the question! (Obvs said yes) probably is, I’m not so torn about a wedding or a baby first? He thinks we can keep trying and if we fall pregnant to postpone the wedding... I don’t really want the stress of both and don’t want to get married whilst pregnant! Tricky situation...

Planning a wedding without a baby is probably much less stressful

Planning and having a wedding and a honeymoon will be ten thousand times easier if you do it before you have a baby. 
Wedding first. 
And it’s not polite to put off a wedding if you’ve already given guests a date.

I would get married first. Cause I'm traditional like that and also cause you will be sleep deprived and most likely not back in shape for several months after the baby is born

When I was pregnant with my first I told my husband that I didn't want to get married till after the baby was born well not even a year after the baby was born I fell pregnant again 😂 so we decided to have a small ceremony while I was pregnant with #2

I would continue to try or I would plan the wedding and wait to try again about 3 months before wedding. If your 3 months pregnant or less a dress will still fit and they’ll be no huge bump. It’s really what you guys feel comfortable.

Probably should have also mentioned... I would like to save more money for a wedding so probably looking at 18months- 2 years for a wedding

My husband and I already had our daughter before getting engaged and were together for 7 years. We were TTC #2 when he proposed in June 2017. The fact that we weren’t willing to do that traditional “take a year of planning a wedding” and also not wanting to postpone TTC, we were married in October 2017

We had 2 kids then got married. We were in no rush to marry bc we already had the commitment there. In the end instead of spending over 10K on a wedding we spent the money on more important stuff and got married outside at the court house. I’m so glad we did it that way. It was perfect.

I got married then started TTC straight after. TBH, wish I'd started trying earlier as it's been 18 months and no pregnancy. Who knows, you could catch quickly, but I'm just talking from my experience.
