Yay finally MY labor story!! 😂😍

I got induced on 2/9 at 39 w 3 d due to preeclampsia. I wasn’t dilated AT ALL, she hadn’t even dropped any. 🙃🙃

They gave me some medication (starts with an M I think) to soften my cervix. I got that repeatedly until my water broke 2/10 around 6am. Still not dilated 🙃

They put a folley bulb in later that night since I wasn’t making any progress. That was the worst pain of the entire labor. I got my first epidural immediately after that and they started pitocin. Anyway it got me dilated to 4.

I tried to sit up, either not knowing or forgetting how short the epidural cord was, and snapped it!!!! They couldn’t fix it so I had to get an entire new epidural! 🙄 Neither epidural worked on my left side which was soo frustrating I still felt contractions on that side for my entire labor. Thank God my downstairs was numb lol

Then next thing I know I got to 6cm then 10! They had me lay with a “peanut” ball between my legs to get me to that final point. 40 minutes of pushing and out she popped! They monitored her more closely since my water was broken for so long but no nicu time!
