Can a hot shower increase your BBT?

Question

Yesterday was my ovulation day according to glow. 3 days ago I took my temp when I got out of the shower and it was 99°. The past two days it’s been 97.5°. Do you think I ovulated two days early or was the temp increase due to my shower?

You are supposed to take it before you even get out of bed for the most accurate result. Even getting up to use the restroom can alter it!

Getting out of bed raises your temp. You should be taking your temp right after you open your eyes around the same time every morning. 
Sounds like your temps might be unreliable in general.

Why are you taking bbt during the day?🤨 basal body temp is the lowest temp attained during REST. Meaning you take it as soon as you wake up in the morning with at least 3-4 hours of continuous sleep, you take it before talking,walking etc. You just reach over slowly and get your thermometer and take your temp

Basal temps are to be taken with a basal thermometer after 4 or more hours of sleep immediately upon waking and moving around. Do not move until you take your temp. Reach for thermometer, but that is it. Use a basal body thermometer that has 2 decimal places like 97.54. Glow has great articles for help. Who told you to take your temp after a shower? Smack them upside the head for me becuse they gave you 100% false information.
