Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit
🤔a little skeptical about this... but we shall see!!
So far my baby has slept in his crib, for about a week and half, for naps and bedtime; lucky for me, he doesn’t hate it and actually does sleep... unless he’s having one of those days, where he doesn’t want to sleep.. but, last night and so far this morning, he has been awesome... my thing is, swaddling... he hates it, though it will help him fall asleep, once he wakes, he starts to squirm and try n get out of the swaddle.. makes me sad to see him frustrated being all tied up in the swaddle... so maybe, this will help stop him from waking himself up, without being swaddled?? So, I’ll see tonight..how it goes.. will let u know how he likes it...
“The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit is the original, patented swaddle transition product that helps transition babies from the swaddle by providing them with a cozy, secure feeling. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit was created by a mother of four who is a pediatric physical therapist to improve the quality and duration of her babies' sleep. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit is designed for back sleeping in the bare crib only in a room at the recommended temperature for babies. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit should not be used for co-sleeping or with any sleep positioners. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit has a soft, breathable jersey cotton inner layer and either a cotton or fleece outer layer with a layer of polyfil in between for just enough comfort. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be introduced at approximately three months of age when babies are transitioning from the swaddle. Babies should be transitioned out of the Magic Sleepsuit when they roll over or try to roll over in it and are ready for more freedom of movement in their sleep. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit provides your baby with a cozy and calming sleep environment that will become a consistent part of their sleep routine. The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit is designed to aid in baby's sleep patterns, and give parents peace of mind that their baby is getting adequate rest necessary for appropriate growth and development”.... this is why I’m trying it; my baby is 15 weeks and 1 day, and still doesn’t roll over...(just a little extra information for you, ladies)
Update***
Jus posted a pic of baby in the sleep suit; hopefully he’ll sleep comfortably!!!🙏🏻
Update number two!*****
Baby was never weirded out by this awkward bulky sleep suit, so that’s good 👍🏼
Baby slept pretty well in it... I was jus a little paranoid about over heating or something, so I kept checking him, made sure the room temperature was good... he never was super sweaty, so that was good ....
burping him was weird, it’s too thick, so I did choose to take his arms out after I nursed him, to give him a good pat to get any burps out....
I did notice he was able to get himself Back to sleep without my help! Normally he would fuss and get squirmy and i would have to pick him up or pat him; with this, he would lay awake for a second, and fall back to sleep, eventually.... I guess he felt safe? Cozy? And was able to go back to sleep, and that’s super cool..(I was watching him
all night lol through an app on my phone, connected to the camera)
He didn’t sleep 8pm-8am with no wakings, he dream fed at 10, woke up hungry at 3am, then at 5:30am and now here we are, he’s awake by 7am...happy baby, like always 🙏🏻
Changing diaper was pretty easy too...
So I would recommend this, I will use it only for night sleep (don’t wanna restrict his mobility, too much; I prefer holding him for naps, it doesn’t affect his night sleep when I do, at least for him, not sure about anyone else)...
And this concludes my review lol 😅
