Prenatals—What do you take?

Do you take prenatals as well as other separate vitamins? If so which ones? I currently take the Kroger brand prenatal gummies, this is the back of the bottle. Are there anything better out there? Are mine lacking anything that I need? Help

I LOVE Garden of Life Raw Prenatals.  They’re 3 pills a day which is more than many out there but it helps spread out the nutrients so your body absorbs more of them, and all the vitamins come from whole food sources.  They’re also a little pricey but have worked really well for me!

I use Nature Made. Others made my morning sickness worse. Plus the Nature Made brand is BOGO at CVS or Rite Aid pretty often.

I get these from amazon. They are pricey, but in the nearly two years I’ve been taking them (when TTC) I have not gotten sick ONCE even though my husband has been sick as a dog in our tiny home. I had some mild aversion to them in my first trimester but otherwise I like them and they’re easy to swallow—I hate taking pills.

I take non prenatals. I have controlled the nutrition demand for each part of pregnancy this way. You have to be aware of nutrition demands for each development of the baby so it’s potentially more time consuming. For me it’s second nature. I also have tests by my dr that show things are good.

Garden of Life My Kind Organics Once Daily Prenatal. I love these!! I like that they’re food based which makes them easier for your body to digest. I usually get a tummy ache if I take a regular vitamin on an empty stomach (I think because of the iron) but that has never happened with these.

Gummies don’t contain iron like a prenatal pill just FYI! But I just take whatever pill is on sale. I think I have healthy mommy kind.

GNC prenatal + iron had been fabulous. No bad taste or after burps and hasnt affected my IBS at all.

Your prenatal should REPLACE your regular multivitamin. The only thing I took in addition was a chewable calcium. If there's anything in your vitamins that are already in your prenatal, run it by your dr because there is a such thing as taking too much of certain vitamins.
