Best age for a kid to remember their first vacation?

Sorry wasn’t sure where to post this. 
In your opinion what age would be best for a first big vacation? (Like Disney land kinda big (just an example) and not like the beach kinda trip. ) That they would enjoy it and hopefully remember it for the most part? 
I would like to do it before they start school but if they won’t fully enjoy it I would rather wait. 
Would you even take a kid on a big trip knowing they will still have other big trips in their lives?
Please don’t think to much into it. It’s not a serious post to get accurate data. Just for my own curiosity.

I would think like 11-12. I can’t remember anything beyond that. Ask yourself when is your latest childhood memory and go off that.

I wouldn’t take my son on vacation for the sole purpose of him remembering it, I would do it for that moment. My son is 21 months and gets bored and loves doing new things. If I took him on a cruise or to a beach...I wouldn’t expect him to remember it but I know he’d enjoy himself. So that would be the reason for taking him so young.

We took our first daughter to Disney World at 2.5 years old and she doesn’t remember a thing. 😢 We knew she wouldn’t remember, but we went anyway.

We went to Hawaii right before I turned 5 and I have some strong memories of it. We also went when I was about 7 and I barely remember that trip. I think it depends on the kid and it depends on the trip.

My parents took us as a family when we each turned 5. I’m 31, my sister is 21 and brother is 16 and we all remember our 5 year old trip to Disney world. Mine was during hurricane andrew and we almost didn’t get out of there!

I was 4/5 the first time I remember a big trip. My grandparents surprised us with a week long trip to Florida from Wisconsin. We went to Disney World and Daytona Beach. I remember the jelly fish all over the beach so we only had like 5 feet of sand to play in. I vividly remember riding Space Mountain and screaming "I gotta go pee" as we went over the first drop. We ended up moving to Daytona about 4 years later and became annual pass holders at Disney and went every month, so maybe that's why the memories are so vivid, but I'm 37 and still remember.

I wouldn’t take my daughter to Disney before probably 8. I’m not spending all that money when she’s 3 for her to most likely not remember it.

We took my daughter to Disney world at 2.5. She is now 3.5 and she remembers so much from that trip without reminding her. She remembers waking up I. The night to go to the airport, she remembers eating with the characters, it raining in downtown Disney l, eating in the castle, the teacups etc. will she remember every detail for the rest of her life? Probably not. However I’m confident she’ll remember enough. My husband was scared to take her at such a young age but the whole trip he kept telling me “I can’t believe I doubted this at first”. She was seriously the perfect age, she believed it all.

When I was 12 I went on a 2 week road trip to Vegas, San Diego, Los angels, Arizona, Texas, everywhere. I can remember some places we went to but I cant remember any details or one funny thing or one conversation I had or said. I literally dont remember much at all and even pictures dont help my memory. I'd say highschool.
