Starring to hate my Skyla IUD
I’ve had my IUD in for 2 years. Initially, I was an advocate for IUDS. I’d recommend it to anyone who was looking for a minimal responsibility birth control. Prior to the Skyla, I had the Mirena for 4 years. For me, there seems to be a trend between the 2. For some reason, when I get to the year before removal, I tend to have complications. Cramping, spotting for 5 days+ after normal cycles, things that are basically out of the norm for me. I know for some women that’s normal behavior and even my doc says it’s normal but for someone like me whose been normal for 4 years with the Mirena and 2 with the Skyla, these changes concern me. Needless to say, it’s going bye-bye on Monday! 🙃
