Anyone else's kid do anything to not brush their teeth?
My 6 year old step son hates brushing his teeth. He's already had a root canal and over 10 cavities. At our house,my husband and I make sure he does it, but during the week at his mothers is a different story. (You'd think she would make him since she's a dental technician)
He always tries to close the door, cuz he never fails to put the tooth paste on the brush then leave it under the water till it comes off. Wa-la "he's done"
We just told him to brush his teeth and he just keeps saying "I have a headache" it's mind boggling to me that saying things like that at his moms gets him out of it.
About 70% of the time he's told to brush, he cries, then dad ends up brushing them while he's balling his eyes out as if he's being murdered.
I try to make it "fun" with cool tooth brushes and tooth pastes. A cool ninja turtle holder and kids mouth wash. Nothing seems to help.
Does anyone else's child make brushing their teeth seem like death?
