Is almost 2 months old and he is just 4 kg. What is the ideal weight for the baby ?

My 2 month old weighed 14.5lbs and was 25 in long at his 2 month check up!! He’s a big boy!! He was 9lb 6.7oz when he was born

My doctor said that at this age, it’s more about how the baby “looks”. If the proportions are right (height and weight) it’s usually fine.
At our 6 week appointment my daughter weighed 5,3kg and was 59cm but he said she was a big baby. She was 3,7kg at birth. He said they typically gain about 1kg per month at the beginning

My 9 week old just had his 8 week check up and he is 5.4kg and 59cm... I’m sure your maternal nurse/dr would have said something if they were concerned?

Not sure but, if your concerned definitely bring it up to your pediatrician. My daughter had her two month checkup yesterday she weighs 12lbs 8oz and height is 23 1/2.

I’m not sure but my daughter was right in the middle of the chart for weight at 8 weeks and she was 11 pounds 9 ounces.
