I got on the birth control pill when I was 16 and recently stopped taking it (I’m 20 now). My last pack was in January & I had a normal period (Jan 14-20). I was also on antibiotics from Jan 20-26 because of a kidney infection, I know that effects how birth control works. I haven’t got my period this month yet & its late by 8 days.

My boyfriend & I had sex while on my period without protection & once off my period we have used condoms besides putting it in once or twice then putting a condom on before we continue.

Should I be worried or is it normal for my period to be late since my body isn’t used to it? My periods were always very irregular before birth control & even when I first started taking it, it took months for my cycle to be on track with the pills.
