Road trip with three month old. Advice?
We are planning a spring break trip and will be taking our son who will be a little over three months old at that time. Any tips or advice?
The drive will be about 5 and 1/2 hours straight driving time but I’m definitely anticipating it taking longer due to stops.
We aren’t planning any scheduled activities so that hopefully we can just play it by ear depending on when baby sleeps, etc.
I have been exclusively breastfeeding but he’s taken bottles of pumped milk from my mom when she was keeping him twice. I tried to give him one once because it was thawed out and I didn’t want it to go to waste, but he wouldn’t take it from mess I ended up nursing instead. I’m hoping to be able to pump and feed him bottles to help the drive go better because he takes a long time to nurse (usually 30-40 min per session).
Also any tips for traveling with pumped milk? Is there a way to warm it while on the road that is safe or should I just hope he’ll drink it cold?
