Preterm labor

I’m not getting taken seriously and honestly it’s truly upsetting. I was in the hospital all day yesterday with regular contractions, but was sent home because I didn’t progress. Checked my urine. Wasn’t dehydrated and don’t have a UTI.

Literally am back today because the contractions are worse and nothing.

5-7 minutes apart and painful. But nothing

I’m only 24 weeks! If I wasn’t mistaken I’m having preterm labor... but hell... what do I know 😐

Keep pushing. My sister in law almost went into labor at 24 weeks because she was contracting. They had to give her a shot to stop her contractions several times throughout the rest of her pregnacy because it kept happening, and give her a steroid shot to develop babys lungs incase he came early. You know your body best!

Keep throwing a fit. They can measure muscle contractions. My water broke for 3 days at 22 weeks with my daughter and it took 2 doctors before someone listened to me that the fluid I was leaking was not urine. You know exactly what you are feeling and if caught now they can stop everything and get prep in place to give any prematurity the best chance.

That happened to my sister and she went into preterm labor and started hemorrhaging, luckily my mom who is a nurse wouldn’t let it go and kept advocating for her cause it was my sister’s first and she was super overwhelmed. Trust your instincts!!!!

I am pretty sure if you aren’t dilating it isn’t considered preterm labor.

I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy and got diagnosed with an irritable uterus. They did a lot of monitoring and an ultrasound to check my cervix before they diagnosed that though. If you’re dissatisfied then go back. But if they do a lot of testing and everything is fine except the contractions then it’s possible you’re just unlucky like me.

If you’re not dilating, are they just considered Braxton Hicks contractions? This is my first pregnancy so I’m curious. I hope things settle down for you soon!
