Hands-free Pumps: Willow vs Elvie vs Freemie

Tresa

Hi ladies!

I am in my second pregnancy and I am searching for a hands-free pump (cordless is ideal!) and there are a couple of fairly new ones since I had my first son a few years ago. Wanting to see if anyone has tried and to get candid reviews.

Has anyone tried any of these products and have a comparison to hospital grade or corded pumps? For my first son, I had VERY low production and I used the Medela PISA, Spectra S2, Spectra 9plus (I rigged this up with Freemie cups so I could walk around). I had the best experience with the Spectra S2.

Here are ones I’ve seen...

Willow 2.0 - hands-free, cordless, expensive and have specific bags that are also expensive ($499.99, 48 bags at $23.99, holds 4 oz per side)

Elvie - just released in the US, hands-free, cordless, expensive, can dump milk out so no bag requirement ($499, 5 oz per side)

Freemie Liberty/Independence - hands-free, cords and pump motor separate, can dump milk out so no bag requirement ($299.95, 8 oz per side so pretty bulky)

My son will be 2.5 when our newborn gets here, and I just remember HATING being tied to an outlet. I had to pump for 20 minutes at a time and every 2-3 hours to try and make 10-12 oz per day so I spent a lot of time doing this. Maybe I’ll be lucky this time around and I’ll produce more, but the freedom to move around is really important to me.

Thanks in advance!!
