Flagyl while pregnant?!

I’ll be 10 weeks tomorrow and told my doctor I was itching and irritated. They called in flagyl. I know they wouldn’t call in something unsafe, but I’ve read online that it can cause miscarriage in the first trimester 😱
Anyone else take flagyl while pregnant?

Maybe ask a pharmacist. I had a midwife tell me to take an antihistamine for itching during pregnancy but luckily I called a medicine hotline (Australia) and asked if it was safe. They told me only 2 kinds have been studied for use during pregnancy. Luckily I called, I had some sitting in the cupboard that I was told to not take just to be on the safe side. Dr's wouldn't generally prescribe something unsafe, but if you are unsure/want to be super safe chat to a good pharmacist ☺️
