Let me start by saying I dislike baby showers. Even my own. I didn't really want one but my mom has insisted on throwing me one. My parents had a very messey split a few years ago but my parents and thier spouses have all agreed one shower is fine and everyone can put thier crap aside....great *sigh of relief* not so fast my Aunt on my dad's side is refusing to come and be in the same room as my mother *eye roll* this means my cousins and the rest of my dads side will follow suit because they are all a bunch of gossiping old ladies. They think it will be akward for them....umm hello I hardly speak to my parents but I'm making an effort for this baby but its to akward for you to spend a couple hours celebrating my baby. Especially after I attended all my cousins showers, baby showers, weddings ect..... my aunt thinks she will just do something small at her house (an hour away) for me. My dad already made it clear that wasn't happening. I am just so irritated that this has become all about my aunt and her needs.
