so I had to miscarriages in the last four months, I had my most recent one on January 25. My hCG levels were back down to zero as of Monday. I had some blood work done with my OB/GYN including testing my thyroid, checking my A1C level and checking for clotting disorders. All of my tests came back normal. I am unsure if I should seek further testing from an in fertility specialist, I have been seeing them for my bloodwork after my most recent miscarriage however I would be paying completely out of pocket and the additional testing would cost over $1000. The testing would consist of checking my cervix and things of that nature. I wanted to know if anyone had success stories with further testing other than bloodwork and if this is something necessary that I should pursue. My OB/GYN seems to think that I should try again to get pregnant and hope for the best, however the infertility specialist are trying to get me to do as much testing as possible, which I am weary about. I am 29 years old, have a healthy 16 month old son, and am TTC baby #2. I just am really not sure what I should be doing and if I should just try again but I’m also scared that I would have another miscarriage. Any advice or words of previous experience with fertility specialist would be greatly appreciated thank you so much in advance.
