IVF 2019
I decided to start my IVF process back on January 2019. Medications were around $4,000(freedom choice pharmacy) and one IVF cycle was $11,000 (RMA) paid everything out of pocket.
For 10 days I injected myself two power of menopur with 1 cc of liquid. 300cc of gonal f and the last 5 day one centrotide a day. At first I was nervous at the end I was just getting tired of injecting my self around the same spot. My husband used to help me when never he could. I gain at least 10 pound.
2 days before the retrieval my estrogen level were to high and they decided that I had to inject my self only 1 cc of the trigger shot along with two other shots (for got the name) to maintain my estrogen level. I also had to start my antibiotics and another medication to lower my estrogen level.
They were able to retrieve 19 eggs. Did not feel any pain afterwards. I could have return to work the next day however I took it off ahead of time just in case. The only bad thing is that im constipated after the retrieval.
Since my estrogen level were to high I was at risk of OHSS and my doctor recommended a frozen transfer to give my body time to normalized. I was instructed to drink plenty of water and at least a cup of Gatorade a day.
First day only 7 out of 19 survived.
Fifth day they were able to freeze one and two of them were still not at the right stage.
Final report on the six day was that only one embryo was able to be frozen.
March 11,2019 will be my transfer day.
