Did the snoo work for you?

I ordered the snoo bassinet through the rental program they have for my 2 mo son. I know sleeping through the night is developmental but he’s up 4-5 times a night and I think I’m losing my mind (if I haven’t lost it already). The snoo arrives Tuesday and I’m so anxious to try it out. Have any other moms had any luck with it?

We LOVE ours. We bought ours before baby was born and she has been sleeping for 4 hour stretches ever since the pediatrician approved her to feed on demand. I have to wake her for feedings! I got ours practically new on FAcebook marketplace for $600 (family couldn’t use bc baby had reflux) and it was so worth it!

First off, I'd never in a million years waste $1300 on a temporary bassinet. Ever. Not even doing their rental program. That makes zero sense. Your child is already halfway to not being able to use it anymore. Once they sit up, bassinets become unsafe. Not to mention, they're small and kids outgrow them as well. Second, it's a very horrible sleep habit to get your child used to sleeping with motion. What are you doing to do once he outgrows it? Are you yourself going to continue to rock him every single night to keep him asleep? Probably not. I refused to buy anything that moves. No rockers, swings, bouncers, etc. We had our daughter sleeping through the night (9-12 hours straight) by 5 weeks and putting herself to sleep by 3 months. It takes hard work and consistency, but teaching your child good sleep habits is so much more beneficial for him in the long run than buying a $1300 bassinet to rock him to sleep all night.
