I want to make a little gift to my parents/family out of nowhere, but I can’t think of something...
So in a year I’m leaving abroad to study at a university, and my parents started feeling that I’m growing up and that sometime they will “lose” me. This makes me really having deep feelings and I feel sorry for them feeling that they’ll detach from their first child soon and that we’re all growing up.
I feel like I want to buy them something (not necessarily expensive), that they will see/wear and be reminded of me. I thought of a piece of jewelry, perhaps 3 similar bracelets (one for me, my mother and my father) but I think my father doesn’t normally wear any so I’m not sure if it will be a fail gift ie. Maybe he will end up not wearing it.
I thought again, maybe saving money to buy them both something more valuable that they will feel like decorating somewhere to remind them of me or again a piece of jewelry etc. Or buying small little things (one per month until the day I will leave) and place them all in a box and give it to them?
Have you got any other ideas? Perhaps also gifts that I could give to my two younger sisters and little brother as well? i would really appreciate it.
