Yes, breastfeeding or rather creating breastmilk in general xan dehudrate you, the more hydrated you are a healthier supplies you'll have...on top of all the great benefits of water...they say everytime you feed you should have a big glass of water :)

Yes! Make sure to stay hydrated while nursing! A good rule of thumb is to drink a glass of water every time you nurse, in addition to the water you would usually consume in a day! And please stay hydrated, ladies! I thought I was doing a great job but BOOM suddenly I was sick to my stomach and dehydrated where I eventually just went to get hydrated via IV at hospital. It totally sucked not being able to nurse my baby for the couple days it too to regain my supply, and I’m a water freak now because I will not go through that again!!

Drink when thirsty. Over drinking will just water your milk down. The good milk is the hindmilk and it’s harder to get to if you are over hydrated.

I believe it does. Whenever I drink less my baby becomes fussy and dosnt drink for as long.

I don’t drink water but have fruit juice, doesn’t matter what you drink as long as your getting enough fluids milk/water/juice cup of teas. Just stay away from fizzy pop. I’ve been breastfeeding 14wks with my 3rd and had no problems with milk supply..

You need to stay extra hydrated, water helps with that but I don’t think it helps more than other fluids do.  I swear by milky, grainy drinks.

Not sure if while breastfeeding it does not or but in general it does. I am very thirsty when I breastfeed or pump so I drink a lot of water.
