Teething products?

Hey guys my LO is begin is teeth and was wondering what you guys use to ease their pain? My husband wants to use Orajel but I’m not sure what use we can do for her

Our doctor said no gels, tablets or any of that kind of stuff. Just use cooled teethers

My daughter is 5 months and 4 teeth started coming out at once (2 on the bottom and 2 on top 😭), she’s always crying, doesn’t want to eat (went from 5 oz to 1 oz only), super fuzzy, wants to bite anything and everything. I give her Tylenol.

You should never give teething gels. Especially Orajel. Not only does it contain harmful ingredients, it also can numb the throat and cause your child to choke. Instead, you should be giving appropriate teethers like frozen teethers and teethers with lots of bumps and ridges. Tylenol can help ease the pain and discomfort as well.

Wooden teethers!! Some kids prefer them to the cold ones. I never used orajel with my daughter. Just a tiny tylenol if she seemed in pain.

I use this cooling gel for my son and it seems to work for him. He also has a wide variety of teething toys and sometimes his favorite thing to chew on is our fingers.

I tried the babyganics gel (she hated it) so I bought hylands oral pain relief tablets and they seem to work. They also have a nighttime version I haven’t tried yet. She also likes chewing on just plain nuby teething rings and a razberry teether.

Don’t use anything with benzocaine in it, as it can cause a deadly reaction and is only recommended for ages 2+.

We use Nuby teething gel, it’s made from clover extract so it numbs and soothes naturally. Tastes horrible but once they figure out what it does you won’t get any push back! Occasionally Tylenol if he absolutely needs it or is getting a low grade temp. His favorite teether is the banana one.
