MMC- D&C Monday

Hey everyone,

I am new to the group. I found out yesterday that I have a double blighted ovum😔. I went to what would have been my 8 week appointment 2 weeks ago and was told sacs were only measuring 5 wks 3 days. Dr. Told me to wait 2 more weeks and come back for another ultrasound; but sadly, all yesterday revealed was 2 empty sacs measuring at 6 weeks.

I am scheduled for a D&C on Monday. I am scared and just want to move past this. I feel like I won’t be happy until I am pregnant again. My husband and I had only “tried” once in December and I was pregnant the next month which I am grateful for. I want to try again as soon as possible but don’t know much about how all of this works. I have seen people say they conceived 2 weeks after their miscarriage, before they even had their first period. And then I see people who say to wait 1 cycle, some say wait 2, and some even say to wait 3, I’m just confused.

Sorry for the long post but I am struggling and need to talk to women who have been through this before. I have read many posts on here and everyone seems so strong, I want to be like that😔. Any insight y’all might have to help me navigate through all of this would be beyond helpful.
