My 6 week old is giving me a hard time when trying to eat during the day. He will latch and stay on for a few minutes and then take himself off. Sometimes he will cry so hard he gets so red faced. This is both breasts. We do this multiple times until he gets on and stays on. I switch positions to see if it helps. I initially thought it was my let down, but I don't think that's it anymore. Then I thought he wouldn't eat if he was over tired because it was initially only happening late evening (his witching hour), but now it seems to be happening during most day feedings.

We have no problems with night feedings.

Any thoughts? It makes me so sad and frustrated that I just want to switch to formula.
