Just wondering if anyone here is a graphic designer? I am meeting with my VA Voc Rehab counselor in March and I’m supposed to present an educational plan, career plan, average salary & proof of growth in that industry at my appointment.

I’ve been looking into graphic design for a couple days now, watching YouTube videos and reading articles about different experiences, but I’m still very unsure of everything it entails. I’m specifically interested in animation but not sure that is a huge growing industry?

What do classes look like during school? Are there a lot of projects? What type of programs do you use as you go through school? Is there a lot of drawing involved? What is your daily life like after college? Is it harder to be a freelance graphic designer? What companies would be looking to hire a graphic designer for animation projects?

Can anybody think of any other careers that would allow you to be creative and artistic, but provide steady income? (Not teaching)
