I know they are not a guarantee you go into labor, but I had a sweep yesterday at 39+2 and I have nothing come of it except some brown discharge from an irritated cervix. I was really hoping for something more at least some contractions. I am 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced. due date is Wednesday I have another appointment on Tuesday for an ultrasound and nst if he is not here by then and an induction date scheduled for March 6. I was really hoping to have my little guy here before then and I really do not want to be induced. so hoping things pick up. wish me luck.
