6 month old and sleeping issues
So my daughter will be 6 months in just a few days. I know she is teething and probably going through a mental leap and because of this has been a bit fussier and much more clingy. She will only nurse to sleep. Won't even take the pacifier anymore. She wasn't a big fan of it to begin with but she would always take it at night. Now please don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving my baby the comfort she needs during this time and I am so grateful that I can be that source for her. But this is our issue. I nurse her to sleep, will rock her a few times but as soon as we put her in the crib she wakes right up or at least within the first couple minutes and is hysterical. The first night this happened it took us 3 hours to get her down. Eventually toward the end my husband convinced me to let her cry for a couple minutes and to our surprise she fell asleep, but mostly likely because she was so tired. I really don't like hearing my baby cry. I mean who does but I just don't know if I have it in me to actually try and sleep train. And because of the teething and leap I don't think it would be successful right now. This has been going on for two weeks now. I guess my questions are, do you have any tips? Do I continue to just nurse her to sleep? Will this end? Am I creating bad habits for the future? I am just struggling with what is best for her right now. 😢 Any help would be appreciated.
