Fiancé and I bought an SUV for $8K February 2018. Diagnostic came back clean, however about a month into owning it we had issues. Googled it and found many Volkswagen owners have the same issues & some worse and no one has been able to figure it out/fix it for them. Well tonight on our way home from Disney on the busy 70 mph interstate, our car died in the middle lane out of nowhere. Our daughter was sound asleep and didn’t see our shock of almost dying. Thank god after putting the hazards on it restarted in about 3 minutes, the most terrifying minutes of my life as cars zoomed around us. It honestly felt like one of those moments where my life flashed before my eyes and if the car behind us hadn’t stopped in time, we would’ve been dead. We’re now like fuck it we want to trade it in, how does this work? Do we have to turn it in to a Volkswagen dealership? How much should we expect to get back? Thank you!
