How long did it take pregnancy hormones to leave your body?

It's been 5 weeks since bleeding from my mc stopped. I assumed I had just skipped a period due to mc, but feel pregnant again (exhaustion, tender breasts) and just took a pregnancy test.

Before I get excited and call my doc...are remaining hormones getting read by the test? Or is it possible to get pregnant again that soon after a mc? (My <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android">ovulation tracker</a> said my window was during the mc, although my guess is that all of that went out the window)
