Do you let your LO watch tv?

I’ll let my LO watch tv sometimes while I clean or cook (just nursery songs with cartoons on YouTube) but I’m wondering if that is bad?🤔

He usually doesnt pay attention to the TV unless its soccer or hockey 🤣

It's how I get ready in the morning!!! 
There is a 30 minute window where my husband is already gone for work and I am finishing getting ready for the day. So I plop her in her bouncer and let her watch a baby channel while I do my hair and makeup. It saves me!!! But like clock work, about 25 min in she starts getting vocal and fussu

Yes but it's usually only like 30 mins top before she wants a cuddle.

I'll put him in his sit me up floor seat and put baby einstein on for about 20 mins a day so I can cook or shower and have him entertained. If hubby and I watch TV he will look at the TV (he loves bright lights so it often catches his attention) but we do a lot of things and visit new places so he is always exposed to new surroundings. I read the main concern for it is that it might affect their speech because it is distraction in the background and they don't become familiar with all of our words when we talk to them with the TV on. I guess I'll find out if it's true or not down the road

I just put on a baby show from Netflix. We’re a pretty active family so I’m not too worried about it becoming a bad thing.

Pediatrician says to limit to no more than an hour.  My son watches more than that.  I am starting to shift back towards getting him out of the house to play or turning on music only and he plays inside.  He will request to watch his shows all day long though... I usually don’t give in and he throws a tantrum:  I created a monster 😭🤦🏻‍♀️
