I have a referral to get my dating scan as my periods have been very short as I’m breastfeeding (everyone is surprised I’m pregnant, including us!).

When would you get the dating scan?

Background: I had a miscarriage before my son was born. I had ovulated late and so when I was meant to be 7w2d I was 6w0d. HR was 109 and was told I may miscarry. I had a follow up scan at 8w0d and HR was 154. (Lost the baby at 10 weeks). Those two weeks were hell, and I don’t want to go through it again. Should I do it at 6w5d (with the risk I may have ovulated a few days late) or 7w2d?

(Im in Australia so we are able to make these appointments ourselves with a Dr referral)
