Should I take my parents up on the offer?
My little boy is currently 1 month old and to put it bluntly I'm not getting enough help. We're both first time parents. I'm on mat leave and he's working full time.
However he expects me to look after our son both day and night, plus keep the house clean. I've had 2 hrs of sleep in 3 days and I'm starting to lose it. Hell I've walked into walls I'm that tired.
I've asked my husband to help but he can't cope with him crying. He'll feed and change him then get frustrated and start sighing and hand him immediately back to me.
This morning he handed him over and said I'm getting a shower. He was in there for an hour, had time to masturbate (I had chills and vomited all night and was still expected to feed, change and soothe him).
We had a bit of an argument after I snapped. So he went and made himself breakfast and got ready for work (another hour). He knew I hadn't eaten since yesterday morning. I've tried speaking to him about all of this and nothing seems to be changing. I just don't know what else to do.
My parents have suggested that I go and stay with them for a couple of days, so I can actually get some sleep and help looking after him. But I don't know if I should.
My partner is currently at work until midnight. Should I just leave before he gets home and tell him that I'm staying with my parents for a couple of nights with the baby?
