Is anyone else going to do the early blood test to find out the gender? Or waiting longer for the ultrasound?

I always do it for abnormalities rather than gender:) I’m 34 so it might be a good idea for me

I voted for the blood test bc I did it with my first. The test isn’t to just find it the gender, but a screening for possibly chromosomal abnormalities. I used the screening and the 12 week neuchal translucency scan to determine if I wanted a cvs or amnio. 
Even though we already know the gender, we will be doing the blood test again just to verify chromosomally my baby is looking good. 
It’s peace of mind for me.

I’m doing the blood test mostly for the genetics. But the gender is a plus. But i don’t want to find out til everyone else finds out. 😂

I will wait for an ultrasound if we even find out at all. But I also opt out of genetic testing completely and always have. So the blood test is pointless to me.

I’m doing the test, but it’s not to find out the gender it’s for screening purposes. While my doctors will know the gender weeks : months before me, I wait till DH can make it to an ultrasound so we can find out the gender together. I don’t think DH could make it to an appt with my 1st till around 20 weeks. His schedule is always hit or miss. 
All our baby gear is gender neutral, and we’re not doing a nursery this time around since DS was in our room as I was BF till 15 months. So finding out the gender is not that important to me. I’ll have plenty of time to pick up some cute clothes eventually.
