Pulled out the Doppler knowing it was a shot in the dark. But, found baby’s HB at 178bpm (yes I know it can be a little off but it was consistent for a minute till baby moved). So weepy happy and shocked I could find it at 8 weeks exactly! But... No denying it was a train coming down the tracks at high speed compared to low 90s/100s for placenta etc that the Doppler picked up.

My 1st US isn’t till 10w2d and I had a loss last year where baby stopped growing at 8w5d (didn’t know till 11 weeks at my US and I never got to hear HB), so my anxiety is spiked right now. I wasn’t expecting to hear anything but my personality isn’t to get too concerned when / if I can’t find it esp this early so I gave it a go and so happy I did. It gives me hope that I may be able to find it a few more times between now and my US so I can see a thriving baby in 21/2 weeks!
