Just don’t let people touch him and try to keep kids away. I have two friends that have had to have their newborns admitted to the hospital for rsv, one just got helicoptered to UCSF. It’s serious and bough people may think your being rude, who gives a shit. They don’t have to watch your baby struggle to breath so be the asshole to protect your child.

I’ve been taking my baby girl out since she was 3 days old lol she’s totally fine and getting out of the house is important!

I took my 2 week old and left him in a car seat so he didn’t touch anything.

I took my son at a week old to get bottles. Yesterdayy husband and I took him to hobby lobby, Home Depot, and our favorite brewery for lunch. He was so happy and content and no one tried to touch him. He was 11 days old

RSV can be transmitted through the air, so I keep mine covered in the car seat when I go out! And use lots of hand sanitizer!

Yes outings are fine just don’t let people hold baby without washing their hands or if they’re showing any kind of symptoms : runny nose, sneezy, worn down in general.
