Early labor?

39+3 and have been having contractions that last about 30-40 seconds, about 5-6 minutes apart for several hours. BUT I haven’t lost my mucus plug yet and baby still feels high up. Could it still be the start of labor?

I didn’t lose any of my plug before I went into labor. I was dilated to at least a 6-7 before I lost any. Sounds like early labor but can’t say for sure!

I had this for 2 days before active labour began... but it did eventually turn into the real thing!

If they are getting stronger and closer together (or at least not any further apart) I would go in and get checked. Could be the start! Good luck

I also didn't lose my plug. My labor was early. I felt pains ever 3 mins and could not bear it. When i finally decided to ho to the hospital i was already dialated at 9cm... follow your instincts!
