Considering IUI 🙋🏻‍♀️ Help???

Can you please tell me about your experiences with IUI? Success rate? Costs? Process? Anything will help!

We did 3 IUIs, all BFNs. The first was 9/25/18 with Clomid and HCG trigger. The second was 10/29/18 also with clomid and HCG trigger. The third was 12/5/18 with Clomid, Follistim, Cetrotide and HCG trigger. After all these failed we switched to IVF. I had my egg retrieval on 1/5/19 and transferred 1 frozen embryo on 2/9/19. I am currently pregnant and waiting for out first ultrasound 😃. I am hoping we have a healthy pregnancy 🤞🙏
Our fertility issues were caused by PCOS. My husband was tested too and he was above average for everything. We have no male factor issues, so the IUIs should have worked. We got tired of waiting so switched to IVF. 
As far as cost goes, my insurance covers everything and i just pay a $20 copay at every visit. The most expensive medication was $45 but my insurance covers most of the perscription costs too.  Good luck with everything. I hope it works for you!!

We're going to do our 3rd and last round this month. Our 1st was November 2018, then February 2019. Neither were successful. All attempts have been paired with Clomid.
Cost depends on your insurance. I'm super lucky apparently because all I pay is a $20 copay for IUI. Clomid costs less than $8. But I've heard people frequently pay between $300 and $3,000 for each attempt.
I haven't been doing any ultrasounds to check follicles, which it seems it more common to have them checked. I also wasn't doing a progesterone check each month but we will this month upon my request. This month we will also be doing inter-vaginal progesterone suppositories. 
The process is much like a pap smear. Although, this past time she did have to use a tanaculum - she said she wouldn't show me what it looks like so it wouldn't freak me out - I picture it like those grabber for extending your reach? No idea, but they were used to grip my cervix to allow her to insert the sperm in  the right spot. It was a bit uncomfortable but nothing major. Although, she said that feeling it much like childbirth which I dont believe at all but I haven't gotten there yet to know 🤷‍♀️
I've heard success rates tend to increase when you do back-to-back attempts.

I did my 1st IuI 2/6... did it out of the USA .. took vaginal progesterone.. on Friday 2-22 was my blood test and it was negative 😪
Af showed up yesterday  
Been trying for our rainbow baby after 2mc.
Will try 2ns round IuI in April if all goes well
God will bless us soon.
I also read that someone posted that many times it doesn’t happen on the 1st round
I think it’s worth a shot before considering ivf
