Do you think masculine toxicity is to blame on women?

Saw a post recently that was ranting about how women are to blame because 50% of households are single mothers and most teachers are female, so if women are doing the majority of teaching for boys then toxic masculinity is our fault. Thoughts?

Society and those in power (ie straight, white, cis, men) created the problem. 
However, women can choose to educate and empower themselves and the children within their sphere of influence, instead of perpetuating outdated systems of oppression. That on its own won’t fix the problem, but it helps.

We all take part in it. It’s ingrained and we don’t even realize we’re perpetuating it sometimes. But acknowledging it when it happens and making an effort to not do that anymore is helpful. That isn’t specific to any gender or group of people. Women aren’t really to blame specifically, but yes, many women do keep it alive.

I wouldn't say that, exactly. It was men who created the ideal version of a man. It was men who put men on a pedestal. It was men teaching little girls what a man is. It was men who created gender roles. Now they want to blame women for the images and "standards" they created? Okay. 😂
But with all that said, as we're coming to form a new society where gender roles are gettimg tossed out the window and all that, if you're still teaching your children toxic mentalities, that's your fault. Regardless of gender or sex, if you teach your children toxic mentalities it is mostly your fault. Society also has a role obviously, but 🤷🏻

It’s women, men, media, cultural history, etc.  Change is a slow process. But sure, women share the blame.

Everyone. Not just white straight men, or women. Everyone has more than likely contributed to it accidentally or not

It’s men’s fault.
Men have traditionally been the heads of society and have shaped what roles men and women should play. Society didn’t just happen to be like this. Men made it this way.

I must be teaching my boys differently. They are total lovers & sweethearts. Even though maybe they do cry alot and are alot more sensitive than other boys. 😂😂
