Cramps occur before or after ovulation

Yesterday evening I got peak opk and I got severe cramps the whole last night. Does ovulation start after cramps are over or during cramps ? Just want to know whether I have ovulated last night itself or now ovulating. When ahoy I BD? Thanks in advance
