What to do with first child during second child labour

Does anyone feel that besides your husband your very alone when it comes to taking your kid for birth.  I don't know what to do if I go into labour while my husbands at work.  Scary and sad all at the same time.   Feeling a little down.

Yup! We’re 10 hours from family and my husband will be out of town until I’m 37 weeks. And even after that he is scheduled to be in the field (military) the entire week of my due date. I have a friend who has offered to watch my daughter while I’m in labor but I’m honestly terrified. I’ve never left her with anyone.

Yep. My in laws are coming to take care of our 2 year old, but they live 5 hours away. And my husband has 2 out of town trips scheduled in the next 5 weeks (I'm 35w). Even if he's in town, he may miss out on the birth if his parents don't get here in time. 🤷

We don’t have family close and we don’t have friends. The closest family are my in-laws and they still would need to travel 2.5 hrs to get to the hospital. My hospital is pretty easy going when it comes to bringing your other children with you to the hospital. Luckily my son is 9 and is pretty self sufficient. I’m also lucky that my husband can leave his office to get to me if need be. He is banned from going out of town for work after 36 weeks but if this baby comes before then I would be SOL. It is pretty scary but it’ll work out.
