So me and the hubby never get any “us” time since I had our son.. he want to go on a romantic weekend getaway but refuses to bring our son.. our son is 7 months old and I’ve never been more than a night apart from him.. what would y’all do?

We went away for 2 nights for my 30th birthday in January. This was our 3rd time away from him for a night but the 1st time away from him for 2 nights. He stayed with my mom and step dad, whom I trust more than anyone in the world. It was so great to get away for 2 nights and reconnect on an adult level, we so needed it. I say if you have someone that your babe can stay with that you trust 100% then go for it! We all need some alone time with our spouses. Those relationships are important as well as being parents!

My husband had a work trip in New Orleans back at the end of November when our son was four months and he flew me out for the weekend and it was so nice to just be together. We missed our son of course but it was a good weekend to enjoy each other. And then at the end of next month, the two of us will be going to Florida for 4 days without our son as a little getaway. As long as you’re comfortable with who you leave your baby with, I say go for it!
