Is it overkill to do a diaper raffle & book request ?

Im already putting a “ bring a book instead of a card “ in the the invitation but my mother suggested I did a diaper raffle as well ?  Is it Too much if I do both?

I don’t think so, because a diaper raffle is just an if you want to join type of thing. So no one will feel like they are expected to bring diapers. Just an if you want to join in the raffle type of thing.

I don’t see why not. If they don’t want to participate in the diaper raffle they don’t have too. And with the cost of cards these days, it’s probably about the same price to get a book.

I was considering the same thing. I felt like it was gunna be too much and my mom said i should do the diaper raffle over the books just incase but i figured if they are gunna spend money to buy a card why not just buy a book instead? I still havent made up my mind yet so well see.. and yah the diaper raffle is optional so that is good although i do hope alot participate 🤷🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️ lol

I’ve seen it done. I think my baby shower for my daughter had both. You end up spending the same for a book as you would a card anyways anymore. And the diapers isn’t a “bring a pack of diapers to come” it’s a raffle, some will bring some, some won’t.

The last two baby showers I went to did both. Everyone always does the diaper raffle but not that many people actually bring books.
But if you had to choose I would do the diaper raffle because it will be SO HELPFUL when the baby comes:) I had someone tell me they didnt even need to buy diapers for 3 months

You can, but people might just bring a book and a pack of diapers as the gift cos it really seems like a lot to ask for.
