Surgery for blood clot under c section incision

Kayla

Let’s just say I did not have the greatest delivery or enjoyed my first 11 days with my baby.

I will start out by saying ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. Doctors are like you and I. Normal people who make mistakes or are arrogant.

On Tuesday I came down with a fever almost 5 days after my c section. Went to L&D feeling like I was literally dying with a 102.7 fever. They sent me home claiming it was a GI bug. Which I had no symptoms for. My pubic bone and incision looked so bad but I was sent home. So Friday I had a follow up appointment and I was sent back to L&D because the doctors in the office could tell my uterus and incision was definitely infected. So I came over the the hospital was admitted right away.. antibiotics were started and I figured I would get better. Well Saturday my incision came open, squirting and seeping dark blood..my family and I figured there had to be some type of clot back there. We asked for a CT scan and were told no by OB who also did my surgery. He swore that the clot would drain on its own like it was doing. Well my we became relentless I wanted everything ruled out. Soooo we asked again Sunday.. the doctor agreed after being the hugest asshole in the world. Literally. My family and I were disgusted on how rude he was. My mother was mind blown on how rude he was. So I got the CT tonight and I have a sub facial hematoma deep below the muscle. My doctor will not operate on it because he hasn’t seen one in 25-30 years. He has to find someone in the morning willing to remove it, most like a General surgeon. Here I am petrified getting opened back up again and just of the whole situation. Always listen to your body and never give up if you think something is wrong. I am sitting here with my mind racing a thousand times a minute. Pray that this surgery goes well and for a speedy recovery so I can get to enjoying time with my little baby girl without pain.
