Why am I getting my period halfway through the pill pack

Question

I just started a new birth control pill but I got my period like 2 weeks into the pack while taking my active pills . I haven’t missed any days  so I know it’s not breakthrough bleeding so I’m wondering why . I’m not taking the placebo pills either .

Answer

It’s normal to have spotting or random bleeding during your first few months. It should say it in the instructions that came with your birth control. It has happened to me too.
