Endometrial ablation for long term birth control??

I think I have come to a decision. One that is very difficult to make but I think it's what is best and the most selfless decision I can make based on my families circumstances.

I originally had an appt on March 4th with my gyn for preconception counseling...but after this past cycle, in which I feel it's safe to say I did not conceive, I plan to discuss with my gyn Permanent birth control at that appt instead. Has anyone heard of endometrial ablation as a form of permanent birth control? I'm curious for any input....

These were taken tonight. I was playing around with the spare OPKs I had bc I heard they can signal a potential pregnancy; my OPKs have been stark white since after ovulation, so I thought this might be a sign and got a couple more hpt; very negative.
